Sharia’s Closet - Combine Collection
Join us for a community-driven clothing collection benefiting Sharia's Closet, an incredible organization dedicated to providing gently-used clothing to individuals in need.
This event is the next in our Community Combine series, inviting you to contribute gently-used clothing for women, men, and children of all ages.
We are collecting items such as jackets, shirts, pants, sweaters, dresses, and more to support families and individuals in need.
Whether you're spring cleaning or simply looking to make a difference, this is a great opportunity to declutter while giving back to the community.

What to Donate: Gently-used clothing for women, men, and children of all ages. Socks and underwear should be new condition only.

As planting season kicks off in Southern California, join us at City Farmers Nursery to learn how to choose and care for a fruit tree that will last for years. This hands-on class is perfect for gardeners of all levels, whether you're starting your first tree or adding to your orchard.
Pruning Class
Free Pruning Class
It's not too late - give your trees and bushes a head start with a pruning class. You'll learn about tool selection, how to approach pruning for healthy outcomes.
We'll talk tree pruning fruit trees and determining when and how to tackle new and established plants, as well as things like cane berries.
Behind the Scenes Tour
Join us for a free, behind-the-scenes guided tour.
We'll share a bit about our 50 year history, you can learn about our sustainability practices, and our future. You'll see where we start our plants, learn about the oldest establishments on the property, and hear anecdotes passed down from the history of independent nurseries, of which we're a proud member.
Since 1972, we've focused on simple growing methods, time-tested advice, and locally-grown plants.
Come enjoy a tour starting in our open-air canyon classroom followed by a fun morning casual walking tour through our 1.5 acre grounds.
This class is free to attend, carpooling always recommended.
Wear closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and bring your water.

I 💙 a Clean San Diego visits the Farm
Join us at City Farmers Nursery for an exciting Information Day with I Love a Clean San Diego!
This event is the perfect opportunity to learn more about sustainable practices and how you can help keep our community clean and green. Representatives from I Love a Clean San Diego will be on-site to share tips on waste reduction, recycling, composting, and how to get involved in local environmental efforts.

A great refresher or first stop for new gardeners unsure of where to start, we'll discuss how to approach your gardens and yards, prioritizing healthy growing that's sustainable and simple to care for.
We'll discuss plant selection, basic soils instruction (for more details on soils, check out our Soil Basics class), as well as how to approach watering, fertilizing and timing.
