Sunshine Club #1 - Sweetpeas
We're kicking off our quarterly seed giveaway with SWEET PEAS (the most romantic flower you can grow). Fragrant, climbs 6-10 feet, perfect for cutting, and thrives in San Diego winters.
How to grow: Soak seeds overnight, plant and keep deadheaded all season. That's it. You'll have armfuls of blooms from spring through summer.

Sunshine Club #2 - Marigolds
MARIGOLDS (America's favorite annual and the hardest-working flower in your garden). These beauties suppress pests, attract good bugs, and have edible flowers. Plus they're ridiculously easy to grow.
How to grow: Plant 3-4 seeds after last frost, ¼ inch deep, 6-12 inches apart in full sun. Keep moist. Done. They'll bloom all season and protect your veggies while they're at it.

GAILLARDIA (Blanket Flower) is the ultimate summer survivor. Tolerates extreme heat, poor soil, needs barely any water, zero fertilizer. Butterflies love it. You'll love how easy it is.
How to grow: Late summer, scatter seeds in full sun. DON'T cover them (they need light to sprout). Water 1-2x weekly. Watch them grow 2x2 feet of pure pollinator magic.

Sunshine Club FINALE! 🌸
HOLLYHOCKS (the grand finale deserves a grand flower). These beauties grow 3-8 feet tall with multiple blooms per stalk. Old-fashioned, dramatic, and surprisingly easy to grow.
How to grow: Plant 2-3 seeds together, 2-3 feet apart, early spring or 2 months before first frost. Cover lightly, keep moist. Fertilize twice all season. Plant near a fence for support.

If you're attending a free class and are able to walk a short distance, please consider parking on Altadena Ave and walking over. This keeps our lot available for customers shopping at our three businesses who may be on tight schedules.
When classes fill up, a full parking lot can prevent other shoppers from visiting our stores. By parking on the street, you help ensure everyone can access our businesses.
Planning to shop? No worries! You can easily swing back through our "Loading Zone" after class for convenient drive-up loading of bulky purchases—no parking required.

In this workshop, participants will explore the art of creating low, elegant table arrangements using locally grown and seasonal flowers. The class emphasizes both design techniques and mindful sourcing, teaching attendees how to select blooms that celebrate the beauty and abundance of the local landscape.
Pruning Basics
Give your trees and bushes a healthy head start! This class covers tool selection and pruning techniques for fruit trees, cane berries, and more. Pruning at the right time helps plants thrive and fruit abundantly. Free to attend.

Held at a 1.5 acre nursery, with next-door restaurant and flower shop, our Fall Festival is a tradition that brings together the kindness, talent, and artistry of all handmade art, in a unique nursery setting.
Stroll our grounds, enjoy finding your perfect pumpkin, and meet our community of artists!
FREE off-site parking located at New Creation Church, just two walkable blocks away at 3115 Altadena Avenue, we also have a free shuttle running throughout the day.
You'll see our Zucchini Growing Contest at 10a, Kids Pumpkin Growing Contest at 11a and we also offering free games for kids of all ages at noon.
