As we harness the do-good that Bill instilled in us, with this project we tap into the legacy of what City Farmers can really do, together 💪💚
Tijuana’s Casa De Migrantes has a new, make-shift school garden and reached out asking for gardening supplies.
In speaking with their volunteer staff, we learned that they would be happy with used-but-usable items:
Still functional hand and full-sized tools (shovels, trowels, rakes)
Seeds that are from recent years (half-packets or quarter packets are welcome)
Gardening gloves that have lost their mate
Garden stakes that have a clean side (okay if used)
Because we will need to store and transport across the border, please no plants, fertilizers, or liquids.
On your next visit to the nursery, or at Sunday curbside, drop off your supplies and we’ll ensure delivery.
We’ll collect donations now through April 11th and thank you for your generosity!
