Nate's Re-Open's: Serving Fresh, Local Food for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

We're so excited to announce that - Nate's is open! Nate's Garden Grill, located just north of the nursery, features healthy, fresh, and local food, order-at-the-counter friendly, casual dining, and a wonderful selection of local drinks.

The NEW Mission

Under-new-ownership of a City Farmers friend and looooong-time nursery customer, Nate's Garden Grill has a mission promote health, harmony and support the local community through delicious food.

Come taste the food and see the renovations and meet the new team over at Nate's Garden Grill.

"We're striving to provide tasty fresh food, local ingredients, a friendly atmosphere, and an expansive selection of craft brews and local wines all at a good value."

Nate's is striving to provide the perfect blend of food that's good for you (and the planet) and good to you.

The new owners are kind enough to keep the moniker, named after Bill's father, Nate Tall, founder of all of the property you walk on today.

And that?

That's something that makes Bill especially grateful:

"It's really exciting to have the fresh energy and good food pouring out of Nate's! We appreciate our customer's patience while we searched for what we thought was the best fit.

The Nate's team has really made each detail count. And personally? I'm excited to have a place to eat lunch again!" -Farmer Bill

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Nate's promises to add a fresh, local dining option to our community.

Click 'view images'

You still have about two-three months of cool season vegetables ahead of you.

Now's a great time to plant broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage.  In fact, if you plant cabbage now, you'll have organic cabbage ready for St. Patrick's Day!

  • Our sale on organically raised and maintained Winter You-Dig-em's is $1.50 each or 5 for $5.00 for broccoli, cauliflower and both purple and green cabbage (while supplies last)
  • Other greens include green and red mustard, mizuna (Japanese mustard), chard, lettuce mixes, bok choy, spinach, celery, beets, kale, miner's lettuce, arugula and our famous variety 6-packs.
  • Organic strawberries are lining the outside of the nursery - lots of great varieties waiting for you to take them home.

Meet Georgette!

We're elated to introduce the newest City Farmers family member: Georgette the Welsh/Shetland pony.

Georgette is 25 years old and comes to us after a wonderful life with two different families.

Georgette was loved by many little kids who made her the center of their worlds - they braided her mane with ribbons and enjoyed riding her and even barrel racing with her!

She is gentle a girl, who's intelligent, and thinks she's a big, regular-sized horse (like most ponies do)!

She is black, with a little brown in her mane when the sunlight hits it.  She has a white star on her forehead, just like our handsome boy, Clyde, used to have.

We're so grateful to her past owners and we promise that surrounded by all the activities at the nursery, she will never be bored.
Come by and give Georgette a wonderful welcome to her new home!
