Also knowns as "You Dig 'Em's" for certain organic veggies, we offer Dig 'em Ups - giving you the chance to choose your own individual plants, to dig them out of their plastic propagation tray, and to take them home tucked in a compostable, dye-free, brown paper bag.
Farmer Bill remembers in long-ago decades, before plastic containers, nurseries used wooden nursery flats and customers would dig up the plant up and take the plant home in a paper bag. So several years ago, we decided to bring that back.
Here's how our Dig 'Em Ups Work
Step 1:
Take a glance at our ever-changing selection! Seasonally we have an ever-changing selection of strawberries, kale, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes, and so much more! All organically raised in our on-site hot house.
Step 2:
Take a bag and shovel and choose your favorites.
Step 3:
Pop your favorite into a compostable paper bag.
Step 4:
Pay at the register -- and one of our awesome team members can help answer questions about soil, fertilizer, and watering.
Step 5:
Plant your plant at home - you can even plant it IN the compostable brown paper bag (which will decompose quickly). Or you can take the brown paper bag and put it in your compost bin.
