Pruning 101: Roses, Trees, Cane Berries and More!

  • City Farmers Nursery 3110 Euclid Avenue San Diego, CA, 92105 United States (map)

Join us for another free class in our Saturday Series.

Pruning 101 - Roses, Trees, Cane Berries and More! Give your trees and bushes a head start with a pruning class.

You'll learn about tool selection and how to approach pruning for healthy outcomes. Together we'll walk through the structure of different trees and berries, how to angle your cuts, and how to minimize the risk of infection.

From 8:30a-9a we'll cover roses with rose enthusiast and professional maintainer and San Diegan Max Stromberger.

From 9-10a Sam will dive into pruning trees, berries, and more.

We'll also take pruning questions, talk about best practices (like not pruning more than 30%) and how to plan your pruning to ensure your trees, berries, and roses grow with lots of support.

This class is free to attend, no RSVP required.

Since 1972, we've focused on simple growing methods, time-tested advice, and locally-grown plants.

We'd love to invite you down to our open-air canyon classroom for a fun morning of casual learning.

This class is free to attend, carpooling always recommended.
